Transition To Work

Practical skills to help you transition into the workforce

RCC’s Transition to Work is a two-year program for young people with a disability who have completed year 12, and is funded by the Department of Ageing, Disability and Home Care (ADHC).

Our program aims to build the practical skills and experience clients need to successfully transition into employment, or tertiary education, by building strong links with and encouraging client participation in the community through employment, education, and recreational activities.

transition to work Our program covers 5 key areas including:

  1. Employment skills
  2. Personal development
  3. Education
  4. Independent living skills
  5. Recreational skills

With RCC’s assistance, clients create a Person Centred Plan (PCP), which is a road map to setting and achieving realistic goals. We strongly support our client’s right to develop their independence, make decisions and choices, and build on the skills they need to participate within the community in ways that are important to each individual.

Our Transition to Work program is delivered at our Bathurst site, Monday to Wednesday 9am to 3pm, 48 weeks of the year.
